1 Help me with Russian speech?

If I were to give an excuse about how bad I did my Russian exercise to my 60 year old Russian Language lecturer, how should I say it appropriately and correctly? I was thinking of "Alright, I will take note after this" or "OK, I'm sorry and I promise not to repeat the same mistake".. But how?
