Where can I find a cheap ticket to El Salvador?

I'm in college right now. I want to go see my husband in El Salvador in december. But my school break doesnt start until the 15th of december. I have been searchin for flights and everything is above $600.00 dollars. Do you guys have any suggestions? where can i find a cheap flight?
