Why do celebrities always end up doing something stupid?

Whats wrong with our American celebrities today in this country? It always seems like something always ends up going wrong with them. Look at Lindsey Lohan. I used to like watching early movies she did such as the parent trap and such. Busted for drunk driving and cocaine possession. Martha Stewart, lied in court under oath, Michael Jackson, accussed of child molestation (though I think he is innocent), and if you have been watching the news lately this football player was busted for dog fights. But if a celebrity goes to jail or prison, don't they get like special treatment or something because they still have money? Do you guys think celebrities get special treatment? I do sometimes. Like when they get sentenced to jail, why is it for only 24 hours or something? what kills me is they act like they can't do it. Parris Hilton was only in jail for a big 23 days, not even a month and she was still fretting about it. But celebrities always seem to end up doing something dumb.
