Can my underage poss. of alcohol get dropped by the DA?

I just got an underage possession of alcohol the other day. The ALE came in our apartment complex and we were standing outside with others who were drinking. They came and asked us how old me and my friend were and to see our ID. They didnt even check our cups and when we asked to get breathalyzed they said they didnt have one. any way the District attorney can drop this and we can avoid court costs and a lawyer?
