Just because i have bad effects with 1 pill does it mean i shouldn't take any other pills?

i'm on day 3 of yasmin pills for the first time in my life. but i want to stop taking them because my heartbeats fast and i have trouble breathing. plus my left legs is a bit painful.. these are serious side effects i know so i will stop taking them but does that mean i shouldn't take any brand of pills or can i still try others?
